November 5th - 9th

We've already had a great start to the week!
This morning the kiddos had an assembly where they had the chance to watch different styles of dancing. It was a lot of fun to see all the different cultures represented. We will have an assembly almost everyday this week where students will be exposed to all different cultures. It's going to be a great week!

Language Arts
This week we are diving deeper into sensory language. We will look at how authors use sensory language to help create an image for their readers. We are also going to talk about figurative language and how it is used in writing. We have also started procedural text presentations today-they are GREAT!

Math
Kiddos took a math preassessment this morning over 2x2 digit multiplication, 2x1 digit multiplication, and division. This week we are starting our new math unit that will dive into these concepts. We probably won't get to division until next week. I added links to our homework page for students who want to get a head start!

International Fair!
This week we are going to learn even more about Tanzania! Students are going to do research on culture, language, animals, landforms, and holidays. They will create a poster about their research to share on Friday!

Fourth Grade 411
We've got a new homework routine that I think you will like :o)
Be sure to look over your child's homework packet to note the changes.
I have uploaded it into our eBackpack.
