This is our last week before STAAR. Thank goodness! I am ready for all this testing to be over :o)
This week we are focusing on reviewing for STAAR in both reading and math. In science we are going to talk about life cycles and will make observations about the meal worms in our classroom.
Each day this week we are going to focus our attention on one reporting category from the STAAR assessment. At the end of the day, I will send home the student's graded work for y'all to reflect on at home. I am merely using this as a form of communication. It is NOT meant to stress-out anyone, or to get y'all frantically practicing math facts. Like I said before, I am only sending them home as a piece of communication.
Students do have a new word sort this week that will continue to focus on Greek and Latin roots of words. There was an error in the sort that went home today. Students can make corrections on their own or y'all can print out a new copy from the website. All documents are located on the documents link.
On Monday, April 22nd, there will be a bonus quiz that will focus on the last two weeks of word work. The quiz is voluntary and will count as an extra 100 in the gradebook.
Progress reports go home on Thursday.
Let me know if you have any questions!
