Writing
This week we are going to write a personal narrative about a time when we were disappointed. We will start it on Tuesday and it will be due on Thursday. On Friday, we will have a spelling/vocabulary assessment over figurative language terms. Students need to be able to spell the terms, know their definitions, and write an example of that form of figurative language. They will NOT have a homework packet to complete over the week. Instead, students can practice at home using this link.
Math
Students did not take their math assessment on Friday since I had to leave at the last minute. We will move our assessment to Wednesday. On Monday and Tuesday we will review for the test. On Thursday and Friday we will look at ways data can be organized.
Science
Our science assessment has also been pushed back since I was out last week. The assessment has moved to next Tuesday. On Monday we will review electromagnets and electromagnetic fields. We will spend the rest of the week creating circuits and testing conductors of electricity.
Texas History
This week we are going to talk about the Old 300 and how Stephen F. Austin helped settle Texas. There will be a reading/social studies homework assignment this week.
Homework
-Weekly math packet
-Texas history newspaper and questions on Google Classroom
