Hello!
It's finally time for Camp Staarlight!!
We had a great time at our pep rally this morning. Mrs. Stowe got the kids excited about doing their personal best and offered to help our kiddos throughout the week. We can't wait for her to stop by our classroom! Mr. Grubb premiered our Alamo movie during the pep rally. Scroll down to watch Santa Anna defeat the Texans.
Here is what our week will look like...
Language Arts
Students will be responsible for completing a composition and answering multiple choice questions each day. They need to finish the entire assignment in class. This will help students practice the time management portion of STAAR. If a student does not finish on time, they will need to finish the composition at home. Please discuss the importance of time management with your child. Each day I will send home their scored composition from the day before.
Math
This week we are going to spend some time reviewing concepts students usually struggle with. We will look at 2x2 digit multiplication, division, converting fractions to decimals, and converting fractions. Students will have seven independent problems to complete at the end of each lesson. They will take home any incomplete problems to finish. Please be sure to return them to school the next day.
Homework
Students need to complete any incomplete assignments. It is imperative that your child returns the completed assignment the following day. Students can also login to IXL for extra writing practice.
