The 22nd Annual Fossil Fest is December 1-2, 2012

The Paleontological Society of Austin is hosting their 22nd Annual Fossil Fest for Austin and surrounding areas. It will be held on December 1st & 2nd at Old Settlers Association Headquarters, 3300 Palm Valley Blvd., in Round Rock, TX (next to the Dell Diamond). The show is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The show's theme, "What's under the dirt in YOUR backyard?," seeks to explore and answer that question by focusing on the geologic history of the Central Texas area as told by the rock layers beneath our feet and the fossils they contain. This year the will be shining a spotlight on Central Texas volcanoes.
